idol update,
Thursday, April 16, 2009
it's time for the weekly idol update again!
but before that, something to tell us all why we don't need another reminder on why demi lovato > miley cyrus
this week, imo the top 3 performances were:
1. ADAM LAMBERT (duh? even if he didn't do well i'd still think his was the best. but adam does not screw up (: "fortune rewards the brave" )
2. Allison (although many will say david cook's rendition was much better. i love that song anyway)
3. (surprisingly) Anoop. [anoop is rising up the ranks man!] i still prefer the two below though.
sadly kris allen and danney gokey didn't make an impression although their performance were okay, to borrow a pet word the judges like to use --> "forgettable".
david cook!
it's hard to find hq but nothing less than a live performance vid would do him justice. go LAMBERT!

Beautiful Imperfections,
Saturday, April 11, 2009
good friend Rhea asked me to watch this on youtube way before it aired on television. (or at least way before i caught it on tv). apparently her father's company was responsible for the filming and stuff.
the first time i watched it, i prolly wasn't in the right mood but i saw it recently on television again and i thought it was quite touching larh.
it's the beautiful imperfections in life that makes it so wonderful.
it also led me to think about relationships and how fragile it is. okay no link hahaha. or maybe it's cause of some random david cook song (which i can't rmb offhand) that made me think about that. got his album recently.
fragile relationships. like fragile broken wings. (no link again but i always wanted to say that)
american idol this week was great. i cant seem to get Kris Allen's All She Wants to Do is Dance out of my head. even though the judges thought it wasn't that great i thought it was pretty catchy.
but of notable mention was definately anoop (anoob no more?) and allison. i wasn't much of a fan of theirs , esp allison but i think im slowly liking allison. her song this week was pure ownage. (still not a fan of anoop though)
i chose her song out of all others for reasons other than the fact that her live performance was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than her studio recording.
and let's not forget adam shall we. although it sounded like a Gregorian chant more than anything else, it's still imba. only a live video would do him justice. go lambert! go me!

Come Back to Me,
Thursday, April 2, 2009
people like sengky would prolly complain about only seeing videos on my posts these days. haha but i heard this on AI today and Cook was darn GOOD. lambert's safe (of course) but the song he sang this week not really my kinda thing haha. too bad megan's out.
Oh and i'll let you go
I'll set you free
And when you see what you need to see
When you find you come back to me
